Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has formally declared his intention to run for Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
His declaration of interest was conveyed in a pre-recorded video as had been speculated.
On Sunday night, Osinbajo had entered a meeting with the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) after they broke Ramadan fast (Iftar) together at his official residence in the Akinola Aguda House, Presidential Villa, Abuja to reveal to them his intention to run for President.
It was gathered that the Vice President used the occasion to consult with governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his presidential ambition ahead of his declaration to contest today.
