Reports from Paris, venue of the 2024 Olympics has revealed that up to
67 Zimbabwean government officials have allegedly arrived to support only seven athletes from their country.
Independent sources confirmed the situation to the media.
The delegation comprises of top government officials, including public office holders and their family members as well as friends.
The report further disclosed that the country’s Vice President has to fly into Paris in a private jet.
Already, the social media is enveloped with the news of the composition of the delegation, which has sent tongues wagging.
Team Zimbabwe officials comprises of the country’s Vice President, General Constantino Chiwenga, his wife, and the country’s sports minister, Kirsty Coventry.
Responding, the Zimbabwe Olympics Committee (ZOC) said only 10 officials were attached to the country’s team to Paris.
Zimbabwe is one of the poorest nations in Africa.
