Super Eagles and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has won the Serie A U-23 player of the season award.
The 22-year-old beat the likes of Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca to the award.
The rankings for the award were made courtesy of the advanced analysis of Stats Perform from the tracking data recorded with the Hawk-Eye System.
The award is the striker’s second Serie A recognition, as he was also voted the player of the month for March.
Osimhen began his football sojourn in Europe with Wolfsburg in 2017.
He then joined Lille in 2019 and just one season in France Napoli signed the Nigerian for a club record fee of €70 million.
He has scored 18 goals and recorded six assists in 31 games in all competitions for Napoli this season.
