The family of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, have been stunned to discover that the husband of the deceased had married prior to his marriage with his late wife -Osinachi.
One out of the four children of the deceased, (name withheld), disclosed this while interacting with members of the family.
Heritage Times visited the home of the deceased on Tuesday in Abuja to confirm this as the child recounted his experiences with his father.
The child said his father had constantly hidden a photo album which contained the picture of his marriage with his first wife, including a secret book where his dad documented his secret affairs.
The kid also noted that the mother (while alive) had sometime searched for the photo album and the secret book, but was unable to find them.
His words: “My Mum had searched the house before to find the photo album and the book but could not find them. I am the only one who knew where my dad used to hide them.
“Sometimes I will take the photo album and the book from where my dad hid them, look through them and hide them again.”
While asked by members of the family why he never let anyone know about it but kept the secret to himself for that long, he replied: “I was afraid because If my dad find out, he will kill me.”
Further findings revealed that Mr Nwachukwu and his first wife’s wedding pictures as contained in the photo album, seemed old like photos taken in the 90’s. Osinachi’s family were of the opinion that Mr Nwachukwu’s having of another family must have prompted his brutal maltreatment of Osinachi.
The Heritage Times While interacting with the brother of late gospel singer who spearheaded the arrest of Mr Nwachukwu, learnt that Mr Nwachukwu who was arrested on Sunday by Police Operatives from the Lugbe Division of the Nigeria Police, was transferred yesterday to the Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID while investigations continues.
