The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has raised hopes of re-opening of public varsities this week.
The union took to its official social media platform to express optimism that students would return to universities this week as it hopes to reach an agreement with the Federal Government on Wednesday.
The tweet read: “All Federal University students should prepare for resumption as we expect a positive outcome from ASUU on Wednesday.”

The latest development is coming days after the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige also expressed hopes of concluding agreements with the union this week.
