Separatist leader, Simon Ekpa, has announced a recruitment exercise for the board responsible for drafting the Declaration of Biafra Independence in 2024.
The Finland-based lawyer and separatist, disclosed in a public announcement through his official X handle on Wednesday.
He noted that the Declaration for the Restoration of the Independence State will occur in 2024 during the BRGIE second Convention in Finland.
“All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are life, Liberty and pursuit for Happiness, that to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends like that of Nigeria state are to Biafrans, it is the Right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
“To this end, the Biafra Republic Government In Exile wishes to announce to the citizens of the 40 United States of Biafra that application is open for recruitment into the board for drafting The Declaration of the Restoration of the Independence State of Biafra later this year 2024.
“The Declaration is expected to take place later this year, 2024, during our second Convention in Finland.
“We call on interested citizens from across the 40 States to submit their applications to this email [email protected] on or before 28th January 2024.
“The Biafra government is the government of the people, by the people and for the people”, the statement reads.
