Head Coach Jurgen Klopp has urged Liverpool to keep up their momentum following their 2-0 win over Arsenal as they remain in all competition this season.
The German tactician saw his side pick their ninth consecutive win on the night but admits any sort of momentum can be lost in an instant.
After their Carabao Cup triumph, Liverpool look set to land more trophies this season as they remain in contension for the FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League.
Klopp speaking after the win at Arsenal, warned his team to remain focus amid the tight fixtures.
“Momentum is the most fragile flower on the planet,” he said.
“If someone walks on it, then you have to work to get the momentum back and just get through it.
“A rhythm is good but a rhythm is playing every four days, three days, it is a rhythm but it is an intense one, we are not complaining, we want to be in all competitions. It is fine but the opponents are all quality and they are really different”.
Liverpool’s victory ended Arsenal’s five-game winning run and piled the pressure on league leaders City, who dropped points on Monday with a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
Second-half goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino were enough to beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool now trails City by just one point with the title protagonists scheduled to meet at the Etihad Stadium on April 10 in a fixture that will go a long way to deciding who lifts the trophy at the end of another enthralling race.
