The trailer for the movie ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ featuring deceased actor, Chadwick Boseman has been released by NetFlix.
The upcoming film which also features actress Viola Davies is an adaptation of August Wilson’s 1984 play of the same name.
43-year-old Boseman who is popular for the character of the Black Panther in Marvel Superheroes series -Avengers shot ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ before his tragic passing on August 28, 2020.
Written by Ruben Santiago-Hudson and directed by George C. Wolfe, the movie tells the story of Ma Rainey (Davies), a Southern singer, and her trumpeter, Levee (Boseman) as they navigate the music industry in 1920’s Chicago.
Other stars in the film set to premiere on December 18 include Michael Potts, Colman Domingo, Glynn Turman, Taylour Paige and Dusan Brown.
