Nasser Al-Hadiri has been appointed the new Head Coach of Libya’s senior men national football team.
This was disclosed by the Libya Football Federation (LFF) on Tuesday.
President of the LFF, Abdul Hakim Al-Shalmani, said the body has reached an agreement with Al-Hadiri to take charge of the team.
Al-Hadri, will succeed Serbian tactician Milutin Sredojevic, who was dismissed, following the team’s poor start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.
He will be assisted by Abu Bakr Al-Harak while Misbah Shangab, will be the goalkeeper coach.
Previously, the new gaffer held the position of Assistant Coach to Spaniard Javier Clemente in the Libyan national team in 2014.
Libya will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a 2025 AFCON qualifying matchday three encounter in Uyo on Friday, October 11.
The Mediterranean Knights will host the three-time African champions in Benina four days later.
