The United States Mission in Nigeria has celebrated Nigerian artistes featured on the soundtrack of the largely anticipated movie, ‘Coming To America 2’.
The US Mission made the acknowledgement on its official tweeter handle.
“Amazing to see Nigerian singers Burna Boy, Davido, Tiwa Savage, TeknoOfficial, and Larry Gaaga featured in the soundtrack of “Coming to America 2”. A great symbol of our deepening ties!” it tweeted.
The movie which has captured the hearts of millions around the world, is already proving to be an even bigger body of work than the first episode.
Some of Nigeria’s finest artistes, including Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Larry Gaaga, Tekno and Larry Gaaga, join a select group of artists from around the world who contribute to the emotions in the movie with their sound.
For Tekno, who is still riding high from the December 2020 release of his debut album, Old Romance, having Waka Waka and Skeletun added to the soundtrack album, is a great addition to the growing number of feats Old Romance has afforded him.
Tiwa Savage graces both soundtracks with the empowering Koroba and the hypnotic Dangerous Love taken from her album, Celia, as she continues to solidify her position as one of the leading artists pushing Afrobeats to a global audience.
Also appearing on the compilation albums is the enterprising, Larry Gaaga with his single Owo Ni Koko featuring Umuogbilibo, making the cut, Davido by way of Assurance, topped with a cameo along with Burna Boy who joins John Legend on the titular Coming 2 America.
