Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has been named in the UEFA Europa Team of the Week, following his impressive performance in Villareal’s 2-1 home win against Arsenal on Thursday.
The 21-year-old bagged an assist in the encounter which led to an opening goal scored by Manu Tigueros.
Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani, Arsenal duo Nicolas Pepe and Bernd Leno and Roma striker Edin Džeko among others made the cut.
The Team of the Week is made up of the highest-scoring players this week in the FedEx Performance Zone rankings.
The reverse fixtures for the Europa League semi-finals will come up next week with Arsenal hosting Villarreal while United will take a 6-2 lead to Roma.
