Reactions As Arsenal’s Top 4 Hopes Dealt Huge Blow With Defeat To Tottenham In Fierce London Derby

Arsenal suffered a disastrous 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in a fierce North London Derby on Thursday Night.

The Arsenal side started the match on the front foot, flattering to deceive for the first five minutes of the match, but unfortunately things didn’t last like that for long.

Spurs was awarded a penalty when they initiated their first attack, with full back Cedric Soares scrambling to get back at Son before sending him flying with his legs. Kane took the penalty by sending Arsenal’s goalkeeper the wrong way.

Things began to get worse from this point onwards. Holding received his fair share of the disciplinary cake as he was shown a yellow card for trying to kick through the forward, and got a red card moments later for using his elbow to block the run of Tottenham’s forward Son.

Moments later Tottenham’s one goal lead was doubled when the corner was headed out to the back post where Kane was running into space to place it to the goal post, putting the match out of reach for the Gunners before half time.

While there may have been a little hope that Mikel Arteta could have got his boys firing with some magical teamtalk at the break, those hopes were darkened as Son put Tottenham 3 goals up with the first attack of the new half.
