Africa’s soccer governing body, Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Wednesday announced that it has rolled out five years ban on three coaches with forged or falsified certificates.
Two seasons ago, the continental football body had set a standard and requirements for coaches that will sit on the bench for both the Champions League and Confederation Cup for their respective clubs.
According to CAF, coaches that will sit on the bench must possess at least an A- licence or equivalent.
In a latest investigation, CAF discovered that the trio of Youssef Rossi (Morocco), Rafik Mohammed (Tunisia) and Ahmed Adel (Egypt) had forged their certificate and upgraded it to A-licence.
Afterwards, the football body handed them five years ban from the game.
Heritage Times HT reports that this season’s club continental competitions is already on with another round of preliminary actions set for this weekend across match venues in parts of Africa.
