Past and current footballers across the globe took to their various social media accounts to pour out tributes to Argentine soccer legend Diego Amando Maradona who passed away on Wednesday, 25th November, 2020 at his home in Argentina.
Maradona, who died of heart attack, less than a month after turning 60 will be remembered for his remarkable achievements in football; most notably, for leading Argentina to the 1986 World Cup glory in Mexico before his addiction to drug brought his illustrious career to a sudden end in 1997.
Maradona’s 21 years career saw him feature in the colours of elite European clubs, like Napoli, Seville and Barcelona.
He bagged a total of 259 goals in 491 appearances for both club and country.
