Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan on Friday night finished second in the Diamond League, clocking 12.47secs behind Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico who won in 12.40secs.
The event held in Lusaine, Switzerland.
Amusan’s latest performance is an improvement few days after she was placed third at Golden Spike, a continental tour competition in Ostrava, Czech Republic, but her timing remained same.
Despite that, she beat Tia Jones of USA who finished third at Diamond League 12.51secs.
Both outings were used by the athletes to sharpen up ahead of much anticipated World Athletics championship scheduled for Budapest later in the year, of which Amusan is the defending champion.

Amusan became the first ever Nigerian world champion and world record holder in an athletics event when she won the 2022 World Championships 100 m hurdles gold medal, setting the current world record of 12.12 seconds (+0.9m/s) in the semi-final, followed up by a 12.06 seconds (+2.5m/s) in the final.
She won back-to-back Commonwealth and African titles in 2018 and 2022 in the 100 m hurdles and is also a two-time African Games champion in the event.
She is also a record holder in Diamond league in the 100 metres hurdles having won the final in 12.29 seconds (-0.3m/s) winning back to back titles in 2022 and 2023.
The 2023 Diamond League is the 14th season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics.
