President William Ruto will on Tuesday hold his Cabinet meeting outside the state capital, making it the second time he will be chairing a cabinet meeting outside Nairobi.
This, will be the first time he will hold such a meeting in the Western Region.
The announcement was made by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday, adding that while in the region, Ruto has met several leaders who equally assured him of their support.
According to local media reports, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi also urged residents of the Western Kenya region where President Ruto will be holding his cabinet meeting, to appreciate the generosity of the President.
Mudavadi maintained that the head of state has extended an olive branch to the people in the region and wants them to be part of his government.
“When we say we want a united Kenya and call for national unity and inclusivity, President Ruto is the best example of this. We have seen the key appointments he has given to the sons and daughters of Mulembe nation.
“This does not mean that he has not done so for other regions, but it sends a message that the President has the interest of the people of Western at heart,” he said.
However, the Prime CS added that the region should fully support the Government’s development agenda, adding they should reflect on the manifesto and promises made by President William Ruto for the benefit of the region.
