Reports say the governor arrived on Thursday at his residence in lbadan, Oyo State, where members of the state Executive Council and top party chieftains have been directed to meet with him on Friday.

Sources say Akeredolu will remain in the neighbouring Oyo State for a couple of weeks, from where he would receive briefing from the acting governor, Hon Lucky Ayedatiwa before official resumption at a date not disclosed.

Akeredolu a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) embarked on a medical leave in June, a vacation that was extended following advise by his medical team.

The first lady Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu also in a Facebook post announced that they are homebound.

”The governor would received briefing from them led by his Deputy, Hon Lucky Ayedatiwa.

”He would be staying for some time in lbadan before resuming fully for work.

“The governor would write to the state House of Assembly before resuming from duties”, a source who pleaded anonymity announced.
