Police authorities on Tuesday in Italy confirmed that the fan was stabbed in overnight clashes between supporters.

According to Police, the victim was stabbed twice in the leg and taken to Milan’s Policlinico hospital for treatment.

Milan Stand

Already, AC Milan, who host PSG at the San Siro stadium on Tuesday night have condemned the violence.

Speaking via their X platform, the club in a statement said, “Football for us is passion, not hate. Sport is supposed to unite, not divide.”

Italian media reports that the victim was a 34-year-old Frenchman.

He was injured when a group of around 50 Milan fans clashed with visiting PSG supporters shortly after midnight in the city’s canal district, a popular spot for nightlife.

Two police officers were also hurt after police baton-charged the French fans to try to restore order.

Group Placement

PSG lead Group F by two points, while Milan are bottom of the group on two points after failing to score in their opening three matches.

In any case, just four points separate the four teams in the group.
