The morale of Angola players have been tremendously boosted to beat Nigeria during the quarter-final clash between both teams in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 in Cote d’ivoire
This is after each member of the team reportedly received huge cash rewards and other gifts, including iPhone 15 from a bank in Angola.

The Angolan side popularly known as the Palancas Negras, who are fresh off a commanding 3-0 victory over Namibia in the Round of 16, were also promised more cash gifts if they advanced to the final.
According to Angola Press Agency, Banco Angolano de Investimento, the bank specifically announced that it would reward the Angola players and coaching staff with a total sum of $250,000.
Aguinaldo Jaime, the President of the Board of Directors of UNITEL, a private Angolan mobile phone company, also gave an iPhone 15 with free calls, SMS, and internet for a year to every member of the Angolan delegation in Cote d’Ivoire.
Osimhen, Others Free Of Entanglements
Meanwhile, reports reaching Heritage Times HT on Monday night is that the trio of Nigeria’s key players – Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon and William Troost Ekong in the ongoing AFCON have successfully passed doping test by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following their highly rated work rate so far at the tournament.
Indomitable Lions’ Many Troubles
And after crashing out of the competition in the last 16 stage, the technical crew of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are set to resign enmasse.
