Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday after undergoing prostate removal surgery over the weekend.
The surgery took place on Sunday amid the ongoing war against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.
The conflict, now nearing its 15th month, began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched an attack on Israeli territory.
After leaving the hospital, Netanyahu attended a parliamentary session on Tuesday, where he was seen speaking with lawmakers as they convened to vote on a bill related to budgetary proposals.
On Saturday, Netanyahu’s office announced that he had been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by benign prostate enlargement.
He underwent the surgery at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Centre, which later confirmed that the Prime Minister was “in good condition” following the procedure.
This is not Netanyahu’s first surgery in recent times. In March, he underwent hernia surgery, and in July 2023, he had a pacemaker implanted after a medical scare.
