FIFA on Wednesday announced that the winner of the expanded 2025 Club World Cup will receive up to $125 million in prize money.
The tournament is scheduled to be held in the United States between 14 June and 13 July 2025.
According to the organisers, a total prize fund of $1 billion has been earmarked.
Breakdown of Prize Money Distribution
In the breakdown for the 32 participating teams, each will share in the $525 million pot for participation, while a further $475 million will be distributed based on performance in the tournament.
A statement by FIFA revealed that, with additional bonuses, the team that wins all seven matches could receive up to $125 million.
It said Europe will receive the lion’s share of the prize money, with each of its clubs receiving between $12.81 million and $38.19 million, with exact amounts determined by sporting and commercial criteria.
South American teams will each receive $15.21 million in participation bonuses, while teams from North and Central America, the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa will receive $9.55 million.
Auckland City, the Oceania representative, will take home $3.58 million for participating.
