Established in 2011, the annual New African list honours individuals whose contributions have significantly shaped Africa and its global narrative. The 2024 edition highlights exceptional figures across sectors such as business, politics, arts, and science who exemplify resilience, creativity, and innovation.

Notable names featured alongside Pompigne-Mognard include Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, actor Idris Elba, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, African Development Bank President Akinwumi Adesina, Afreximbank President Benedict Oramah, South African Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola, and biomedical scientist Colleen Masimirembwa from Zimbabwe.

Pompigne-Mognard is celebrated for his strategic leadership and contributions to various international platforms. He serves on advisory boards such as the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business, African Energy Chamber, World Football Summit, Africa Hotel Investment Forum, and Bloomberg New Economy Gateway Africa. Additionally, he advises organisations including the Royal African Society in the UK, the EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce, and Rugby Africa.

Under his leadership, APO Group has grown into a leading Pan-African communications consultancy and press release distribution firm, catering to over 300 global clients, including Nestlé, Coca-Cola, TikTok, DHL, Microsoft, Canon, and the African Development Bank.

Reflecting on his recognition, Pompigne-Mognard said:
“It’s truly an honour to be recognised among Africa’s most prestigious and inspirational names for the second consecutive year. I founded APO Group 17 years ago with a single vision: to influence the narrative about Africa. Today, more than ever, I remain committed to leveraging my influence to fulfil that vision.”

His inclusion in the New African list underscores his dedication to elevating Africa’s global profile through innovative leadership and strategic partnerships.
