With the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) already in sight, a coalition of ex-militants in the Niger Delta region have told the ruling party to give its ticket to Abuja-based businessman, Dr Ibrahim Dauda.

The ex-militants in a statement issued over the weekend drumming support for Dr Dauda’s candidacy, noted that they are conscious of the fact that the APC looks set to zone its presidential ticket to the south, but maintained that their candidate who is from Borno State, northeastern Nigeria, remains the best candidate to bridge the gap between the young and old.
