As part of efforts to promote the philosophy of local content amongst young Nigerians, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has sponsored a two-day Workshop targeted at Law students of the Rivers State University, Nigeria.
A statement by the Board noted that the theme of the Workshop is “Expanding the Local Content Philosophy for the Academia in Understanding the Legal Framework of the Nigerian Content Act”.
The NCDMB team was led by the Director Legal Services, Barr. Babaginda Umar, had other resource persons including, Mr. Tunde Adelana, Director, Monitoring & Evaluation NCDMB, Mr. Abdulmalik Halilu, General Manager, Research, Statistics and Development Division NCDMB, Prof. Lucky I. Wakari, Dean Faculty of Law, University of Porthacourt, Dr. Pereowei Subai, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law, Niger Delta University and Prof. Kinikanwo Aniele, representing the University of Porthacourt.
The workshop which began on Monday, October 24, is scheduled to end on Tuesday, October 26.
