The result means Napoli have secured third spot which is one of the Champions League positions in Serie A.

David Okereke was also on target on Saturday as he scored his 7th Serie A goal of the season for already relegated Venezia in their 1-1 draw with AS Roma.

The 24-year-old put Venezia in front in the 1st minute, before Eldor Shomurodov leveled for José Mourinho’s team.

While in Germany, Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice for Union Berlin in their 3-2 win over Bochum on Saturday. The 24-year-old scored 20 goals with 2 assists in all competitions for the club in the just concluded season as they secured the UEFA Europa League spot.

Cyriel Dessers took his goal tally for the season to 21 in all competitions, after scoring for Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord’s 2-1 home loss to FC Twente In their final league game of the season on Sunday.

Dessers could add to his tally for the season when Feyenoord lock horns with AS Roma in the final of the Europa Conference League on May 25.

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala was awarded the Pichichi award (Top Scorer) of the season. Despite being out of the game for sometime, Oshoala was able to score 20 league goals for the Barcelona Feminino this season.

The 27-year-old scored 20 goals in 19 league appearances and will share the award with Brazilian Geyse Ferreira, who also scored 20 goals in 27 appearances for Madrid CFF.

Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze could not save Villarreal from losing 2-1 to Real Sociedad in Sunday’s La Liga game.

Chukwueze, who was making his 25th appearance came on in the 75th minute. He has netted three goals and bagged three assists this season.

Meanwhile, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman were benched in Leicester City’s 5-1 routing of relegated Watford in an English Premier League clash at the Vicarage Road on Sunday.

Iheanacho has scored four goals in 25 league appearances for the Foxes this season. While Lookman has made 25 league appearances with six goals to his name.

Watford featured Samuel Kalu for 90 minutes in the game. Kalu, who joined Watford from Bordeaux in January has featured four times for the Hornets.

His compatriot Oghenekaro Etebo replaced Kema Sema nine minutes from time. While William Troost-Ekong was benched for the entire duration of the game.
