A joint sitting of the Senate and the House of Representatives is set to receive President Muhammadu Buhari for the presentation of the 2021 Budget.
The presentation which would take place at the green chambers, will be carried out in adherence to full COVID-19 protocols.
According to resolutions by the Senate at its plenary on Wednesday, lawmakers must wear face masks while sitting arrangements would be in line with social distancing protocols.
The resolution also states that the president’s entourage must comprise mainly government officials who have relevant responsibilities and functions related to the budget presentation.
What’s more, the Senate resolution stipulates that the joint session will last for a maximum duration of one hour.
