The groom is a native of Umunede in Ika North East of the state and owns a laundry service while the bride Tina Igberaes is a hairdresser who hails from Isan in Edo State.

How They Met

The lovers met in 2020 inside the church where the wedding took place.

After going through all processes of the church, they decided to tie the knot in the presence of a team of clerics, families of the couple, their ilk who came from Anambra, Edo, Oyo and Delta States and well-wishers.

Four of the groom’s colleagues from the Methodist Comprehensive School of Deaf and Dumb, Bodija, Ibadan and Federal Special College of Education Oyo, Oyo State were among the scores of deaf and dumb persons who graced the occasion.

Joining the couple in holy matrimony using sign language, the clergy, Pastor Kenneth Okoh, who came from Anambra to officiate, said the marriage was an act of God, admonishing them to keep the candlelight of love glowing.

Okoh said: “It was ordained that one should be a spiritual helpmate to the other in Christian faith, thus, upholding each other till the end of their pilgrimage here on earth.”

The couple beaming with a smile spoke in one voice, saying “we are happy doing the needful. God is there for us because we put our trust in Him.

“We appreciate everybody who contributed to the success of the wedding
