Celebratory gunfire resounded across Kabul on Tuesday, as Taliban fighters took control of the airport before dawn, following the withdrawal of the last batch of US troops.
This is marking the end of a 20-year war that left the Islamist militia stronger than it was in 2001.
Recall that the evacuation window out of Afghanistan closed 31st of August.
Presently, there is a lot of anxiety, pain and distress in Afghanistan, with so much uncertainty, as persons left in the country look forward to the government under the Taliban.
However, the Taliban has reiterated that people with the right documentation will be allowed to get out of the country in the coming days.
