After lashing Fulham 3-0, Arsenal have now restored their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
The victory means the gunners have struck historic moment of top-flight history in the process.
First-half goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard — all set up by the influential Leandro Trossard, who was awarded the Man-of-Match award — put Arsenal on course for a fifth consecutive league win.
Trossard is just the second player to record a hat-trick of assists.
The second half produced no goal but Goakeeper, Aaron Ramsadale and Defender, Gabriel, had impressive second half performances to ensured the north London side kept a clean sheet.
And the win was Arsenal’s 11th victory from 14 away league matches this season, underlining the durability and maturity that has them in position to win the title for the first time since Arsene Wenger’s ‘Invincibles’ in 2004.
The win also meant that Mikel Arteta’s team, have won five successive Premier League matches against London oppositions without conceding goals.
Mikel Arteta has now won 100 matches as Arsenal manager, in just 167 matches.
Same day, Ten-man Man United were frustrated in goalless draw with Southampton.
It was a match midfielder Casemiro being sent off, being the second time this season.
Casemiro’s 34th-minute dismissal for a dangerous high boot against Carlos Alcaraz gave confidence to the visitors and made for an entertaining game with great chances at both ends.
The result was not what United Manager Erik Ten Hag wanted, after last week’s 7-0 drubbing by Liverpool in the league and was a disappointing follow-up to the scintillating 4-1 Europa League win over Real Betis in midweek.
A point each left Manchester United third in the league on 50 points, 16 behind leaders Arsenal, while Southampton stayed bottom on 22, two points off safety in a packed fight against relegation to the Championship.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Football Club have confirmed Hassan Sulaiman, a Nigerian as the new head coach for their Under-18 team.
