Kenyans have rated the performance of their leader, President William Ruto after one year in office.
The President was sworn in on September 13, 2022.
Ruto promised to revive the economy and put more money in the pockets of small traders and informal workers.
He said the government will fulfil its pledges to Kenyans through the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
In an opinion poll released by Infotrak, Ruto was rated 55 per cent.
Out of the 55 per cent, nine per cent think that the President’s performance is excellent while 21 per cent are of the view that his performance was good.
Of the total number of respondents, 40 per cent think that Ruto’s performance is average while 30 per cent think the President’s performance was poor.
According to Infotrak, Ruto scored 60 per cent in Rift Valley, 58 per cent in Central, 56 per cent in North Eastern, 55 per cent in Eastern, 53 per cent in Western, 52 per cent in Coast, 51 per cent in Nairobi and 47 per cent in Nyanza.
According to the poll, 1,000 respondents were interviewed on September 10, 2023.
The sample was spread across 47 counties in eight regions.
The interviews were conducted through computer-assisted telephone interviews.
There was a positive and negative 1.55 per cent margin of error.
