Head Coach of Tanzania, Adel Amrouche, is currently chewing triple bitter pills of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 over his “favourable claims” against Morocco.
This is as the Algeria-born tactician incurred sack by the football Federation of Tanzania, followed by an eight-month ban by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Bombshell That Landed The Algerian In Trouble
Also, the continent’s football governing body heaped a $10,000 fine on Amrouche after he alleged that “Morocco determines everything in African football, they also choose their referees. We remain spectators because they determine everything.”
Amrouche’s Quick Replacement
After CAF’s hammer, Amrouche’s employees announced the relieve of his duty in a statement and replaced him by Hemed Morocco as the interim coach.

Part of the statement reads, “In another step, the Executive Committee of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has suspended Coach Adel Amrouche.
“As a result of that decision, Hemed Morocco has been appointed as Acting Coach, and he will be assisted by Juma Mgunda.”
Stars In Search Of Redemption
With the latest development, Amrouche will not be available on the bench when Tanzania face Zambia on Sunday.
Tanzania lost 3-0 to Morocco in their first match.
Amrouche, an Algerian, might have been engrossed by the cold war between his country and Morocco over the years which triggered him to slam fellow North African side.
