Another Blockbuster fight is looming between two heavyweights – Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois in a rematch scheduled for late Saturday night.
The bout, according to organisers, will go down at Wembly Stadium, with 90,000 crowd expected.
All About Money
The fight is mostly about money as Usyk gets 65% of $200 million while 35% goes to Dubois.
This means that the Ukranian will take home $132m (approximately £97.5m) while Dubois takes home $71m (approximately 52.5m).
Dubois victory over Anthony Joshua had brought him $4.6m but this time round, even a loss to Usyk will give him more than what he gained in victory against his fellow Brit.
For Usyk, he reportedly made $114m in his rematch with Tyson Fury.
Usyk, 38, is a Ukrainian with Britain’s Dubois looking forward to becoming a three-time undisputed champion, having already achieved that feat at cruiserweight and heavyweight.
First Meeting
Both of them had met in the first fight in August 2023 which ended in controversial circumstances and Usyk was declared winner after a ninth round KO.
Dubois knocked him to the canvas early on but his blow was adjudged to be a low blow.
Since then, Dubois has gotten victories over Jarrel Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua.
Revenge Mission
Hence, Dubois will have revenge in his mind going into the bout.
For Usyk, he is poised to be the undisputed champion. He already holds the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight titles and will not be fazed by Dubois who has the IBF title.
When both of them take to the canvas, the memories of what happened in Wroclaw, Poland will be fresh in their minds but the goal would also be the money.
