President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Akinwumi Adesina is set to be conferred with the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo Prize for Leadership.
Currently holding in Lagos, Nigeria, the award recognizes a leader in public service who has demonstrated, accountability, self-discipline in the management of public affairs, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Chairman of the Selection Committee, stated in his introductory speech.

Tanzania’s President, Samia Suluhu Hassan is Chairing the event which also has in attendance, former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama (who is among personalities to be honored at the Second Edition of the African Heritage Awards on April 13 in Lagos) former Nigerian Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo, among a host of other distinguished African personalities.
