American Singer, Beyonce Knowles has reacted to protests embarked by Nigerians seeking comprehensive police reforms and good governance.
The 21 times Grammy Award winner took to her Instagram handle on Wednesday to note that her attention has been drawn to the heartbreaking “senseless brutality taking place in Nigeria.”
Beyonce who stressed that it was about time the demands of #EndSARS were actualized, added that she was working with youth organizations to support those protesting for change.
“We are collaborating with coalitions to provide emergency healthcare, food and shelter,” she wrote.
Bee’s support comes not long after Barbadian singer, Rihanna and American-Trinidadian rapper, Nicki Minaj both took to Twitter to lend their voices in support of #EndSARS Protests.
“I can’t bear to see this torture and brutalization that is continuing to affect nations across our planet!” the singer wrote on social media.
“It’s such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by!”
“My heart is broken for Nigeria man!! It is unbearable to watch! I’m so proud of your strength and not letting up on the fight for what’s right! #ENDSARS” she concluded.
