Gunmen suspected to be bandits, have stormed the Federal College of Forestry in Mando, Kaduna State and abducted dozens of female students.
According to an eye witness, at least half of the female students were taken, while all the male students were left behind in the attack which happened at around 3am, Friday morning.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, confirming the incident, said investigation into the incident has commenced.
The incident which occurred at the school which is few metres away from the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, comes 48 hours after the Commissioner presented the 2020 security situation reports to Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
While the exact number of students abducted is uncertain, security operatives have been mobilized to the college.
