Napoli head Coach, Rudi Garcia, has revealed that Victor Osimhen is expected back in action on November 25, 2023.
This means that the established goal-poarcher will be missing when Nigeria face Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the 2026 World cup qualifier due to injury.
Osimhen picked up the injury during Nigeria’s friendly against Saudi Arabia last month.
The 24-year-old returned to Naples on Wednesday after spending time in Nigeria to take care of family issues.
The forward was in the stands to watch the Serie A champions UEFA Champions League clash against Union Berlin last night.
His return will afford fans the opportunity to see him feature against Atalanta at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
“We are working to have Victor ready for the game against Atalanta,” Garcia was quoted by Football Italia.
The striker has scored six goals in 10 games across all competitions for Napoli this season.
