Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen arrived Rome, at Villa Stuart, to undergo a medical check after he picked up a shoulder injury during the international break.
Osimhen was stretched off in considerable pain during the second half of Nigeria’s 4-4 draw with Sierra Leone last Friday and was replaced by Paul Onuachu in the 78th minutes.
The lanky striker subsequently missed the reverse fixture in Freetown where it ended in a goalless draw.
Tuttomercatoweb’s Dario Marchetti told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli : “There is optimism about Victor Osimhen’s conditions , but we await the outcome of the exams that the player will have to do.
“We will know more later. At the moment rumors are filtering, it seems that it is not as serious as it was said. he can certainly miss the match against Milan, but there is hope for him to return to the Europa League against Rijeka.
The hope is faint, but it must still be registered. We will know more about the attacker’s condition soon,” Marchetti added.
The former Lille of France target man has found the net twice in six games this season for Gennaro Gattuso’s tutored side
