Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo, says President Muhammadu Buhari will visit the state on Thursday, September 9.
Uzodinma made the disclosure during a meeting with newsmen at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, upon his return from an official trip to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Saturday.
According to him, the reason for the President’s visit is to commission projects in the state.
He revealed that his visit to Abuja was to “address some political matters and some critical issues that are supposed to be handled in Abuja.”
“While in Abuja, I secured approval for President Muhammadu Buhari to visit Imo on Thursday, September 9, to commission some significant projects put together by the Shared Prosperity Administration,” he said.
“More to that, Imo has been able to attract additional support from Mr President on management of some ecological problems in the state,’’ he added.
Speaking on his assignment as the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the Anambra governorship election, Uzodinma acknowledged the importance of the responsibility thrust on him by the party.
