Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi has been included in the Champions League Team of the Week following his impressive performance for FC Porto, in their 1-0 win against Chelsea.
Sanusi was included in the list by football facts and statistics website whoscored.com despite his team’s failure to advance to the semi-final stage in a 2-1 aggregate loss to Chelsea on Tuesday.
The Team of the Week which is in a 4-2-2 formation, saw the Nigerian international occupy the left back position.
Also in the list are Neymar, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Casemiro.
Others are Jorginho, Leroy Sane and Thibaut Courtois.
Sanusi’s inclusion comes as no surprise as the defender has shown same brilliance in the colours of the Super Eagles of Nigeria since making his official national team debut in a 4-4 draw in 2022 AFCON qualifying match against Sierra Leone in November.
