Forty-eight hours after Grant Wahl’s death, another Journalist Khalid al-Misslam covering the ongoing 2022 World Cup has suddenly died.
Al-Misslam is a Qatari photojournalist.
According to reports, he was working for Al Kass TV.
A tweet by Gulf Times on Monday morning revealed, “Al-Misslam, a Qatari, died suddenly while covering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
“We believe in Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for him, and send our deepest condolences to his family.”
The circumstances surrounding Al-Misslam’s death are unclear at this stage.
Wahl, 48, had died suddenly two days from a reported heart attack while reporting on the Netherlands versus Argentina quarter final match in Doha.
Many migrant workers had reportedly died in Qatar during construction work before the global soccer fiesta started in November.
