Morocco has remained number the one African men’s football national team and 14th globally in the September release of FIFA rankings.
The North African Nation is closely followed by Senegal at 21 in the world.
Another North African side Egypt completed the top three, up five places to be ranked 31st in the world.
Ivory Coast also experienced a leap, moving up five places to be ranked 33rd in the world and fourth in Africa ahead of Nigeria’s Super Eagles in fifth.
Nigeria is static at 6th and 36th globally.
The top 10 was unmoved with reigning world champions Argentina remaining in first ahead of France, Spain, England and Brazil in second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
In sixth to 10th were Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Colombia and Italy.
The ranking puts Algeria, Cameroon, Mali and DR Congo as 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.
