The Super Falcons of Nigeria will renew their rivalry with the Banyana Banyana of South Africa when the 2022 African Women Cup of Nations take place in Morocco.
African champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Burundi and Botswana.
The draw for the 14th edition of Africa’s biggest women’s tournament was conducted in Morocco on Friday night.
Host country, Morocco is in Group A alongside Senegal, Uganda and debutants Burkina Faso, while Group B features Cameroon, Zambia, Tunisia and Togo.
The last time the Super Falcons met South Africa was in the final of the last edition hosted by Ghana in 2018, the Falcons win 4-3 on penalties.
This year’s Africa Women Cup of Nations will go down in the North African clime between 2 and 23, July.
The tournament will also serve as the African qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup which will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
