Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey will have to undergo MRI after sustaining another injury.
The Ghana international had returned from a thigh injury to make his first appearance for over a month but was dealt another blow in a tough London derby in which the Gunners were beaten 2-0.
Partey sustained another injury in the 45th minute of the encounter to leave Mikel Arteta with none other choice than to replace him with Daniel Ceballos.
The Gunners recorded their fourth straight win-less run in the Premier League as goals from Son and Harry Kane put Arsenal to the sword.
“I applaud their first goal, it is world class, but the second goal we are a man down, we leave a massive gap and they take advantage.
“Thomas Partey has to stay on the pitch. It looks like the same injury he has already had, he will have an MRI.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal have a daunting task to up their games in the subsequent fixtures as they are currently occupying 15th position on the log.
