Nigeria’s Super Eagles are now ranked 6th in Africa and 40th globally, following the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday April 6, 2023.
Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, was placed 35th before March.
As at December 2022, the Super Eagles were 31st best National team in the world.
According to the ranking by FIFA, Morocco are number one in Africa and now the 11th best side in the world.
The Arab nation, is immediately being trailed by Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt that are; 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
FIFA further revealed that Argentina have regained number one spot.
This followed the South America’s exploits since December 2022, when they won the World Cup.
The country captained by Lionel Messi is trailed by France, Brazil, Belgium, England, Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Spain, that are at the top 10 arena.
