Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has revealed the passing of his mother.
The Nigerian goalkeeper took to social media on the night of 1 January 2025 to announce the sad development.
He wrote, “A very, very crazy world indeed. RIP mum. Worst year of my life already.”
The goalkeeper, who plies his trade in South Africa, had in November 2024 lost his father.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has condoled with Nwabali following the death of his mother.
“Our heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali on the loss of his mother.
“Stay strong, Stanley. Sending you strength and support during this difficult time. You are not alone; we are all with you,” the NFF wrote via X on Thursday morning.
