Uganda’s presidential candidate, Mr Patrick Amuriat has been arrested.
Mr Patrick was arrested on arrival at the headquarter of his party, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), in Najjanankumbi, Kampala and whisked to an unknown destination.
The candidate is reported to have vowed to defy the restriction laws guiding the number of supporters that can accompany him to the electoral commission office where he is to submit his nomination papers by noon today.
Local media sources report that soldiers and Police officers have been heavily deployed at the party’s office.
