France international Antoine Griezmann was reportedly attacked by furious Barcelona fans who cautioned him to show respect to Lionel Messi.
There have been reports of both players having a ruptured relationship since the start of the new La Liga season.
The angry fans were spotted shouting and telling the French man to have regard for the club’s captain if he wants to remain at Camp Nou.
Griezmann arrived Barcelona two seasons ago from Atlectico Madrid, but the 29 -year-old forward has been grappling with his form. The Frenchman has so far played 42 games netting 11 goals for the Catalans.

However, his uncle seemed to have blamed Griezmann’s performance on Messi’s attitude in training which he also felt affected the output of other players according to the report on Givemesport.
“Griezmann was convinced that he wasn’t going to be successful within the first six months, but what I didn’t expect was that it would last an entire year. Besides, with Messi, I know what’s going on inside the club – it’s not easy.”
While the issue continued to brew hotter, Messi had said in a statement whilst leaving the airport in Barcelona, on Wednesday, “I’m tired of always being the problem for everything at the club.”
However, the 33-year-old comments appeared to be in retaliation to Eric Olhats, the former agent of Antoine Griezmann.
Olhats had told France Football, “Antoine arrived at a club with serious problems where Messi controls everything. He is both emperor and monarch and did not see Antoine’s arrival with good eyes.
“Messi’s attitude has been deplorable, he has made him feel it. I’ve always heard Antoine say that he had no problems with Messi, but never the other way around. It is the regime of terror. Either you are with him, or you are against him,” Olhats added.
Messi has not been happy in recent months at Camp Nou, with the Argentine reportedly seeking a a new lease of life elsewhere.
